Muscle strength exercisers designed to provide resistance to muscular contraction in the lower limbs using a pneumatic mechanism when the user performs a squat exercise. These exercisers usually consist of a stand-alone machine with a pneumatic mechanism, a system to transmit the force (i.e., to convey the resistance), and lever bars on which the user exerts force to counteract the exerciser resistance. These exercisers are used to exercise the lower-limb (e.g., hamstrings, quadriceps, calf) muscles. Squat lower-limb pneumatic strength exercisers are intended to improve muscle strength in the lower limbs (e.g., buttock, thigh, calf, ankle); increase muscle size, endurance, and power; and may improve bone density.
