Originally developed by Rao et al. in 2006, it is a modified version of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) 15-item Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy - Kidney Symptom Index (FKSI-15) that incorporates additional symptoms rated as highest priority by patients and clinicians from the Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy-Kidney Symptom Index-Disease-Related Symptoms (FKSI-DRS).
