The perioperative care plan shares the universal components: nursing problems (health concerns), outcomes (goals), education (instructions), interventions, and team member(s). A care plan includes the patient\'s goals which incorporates his/her unique needs and preferences. It requires care team members (including the patient) to prioritize goals and interventions, that represents all of a patient\'s and care team members\' prioritized concerns, goals, and planned interventions. It serves as a blueprint to guide care team members (including the patient, their caregivers, providers) to implement the patient\'s care.
