The determination of the amount of C-reactive protein (CRP) present in a sample, usually serum from a blood draw from a subject that does not have a chronic inflammatory condition, through the use of an enhanced particle-enhanced immunoturbidimetric assay. This test is optimized to measure lower concentrations of CRP than a conventional CRP test. Accuracy is enhanced to ultra high levels through the use of a proprietary set of calibrated CRP samples.
