Dilators designed to be inserted into the nasal passages in order to mechanically augment the caliber of the nasal passage. These dilators usually include non-toxic, non-abrasive, flexible materials which are inserted into the nostril and kept in place by pressure between the nasal walls and the dilator. Nasal dilators are breathing devices placed and retained within the nostril in order to dilate the nasal passage. They are used to improve breathing and may be used for treatment of nasal obstruction due to a deviated septum or inflammation of the nasal membranes.
