Plunger syringes that include an enteral feeding-specific connector consisting of a female fitting designed to connect to a corresponding male fitting on enteral feeding tubes and accessories. The female fitting consists of an externally threaded skirt that twists securely into the corresponding male fitting. Female fittings on syringes intended to deliver small volumes (i.e., less than 5 mL) include an additional male lumen that slides into the opening on the male fitting and is intended to improve dosing accuracy. These syringes typically include a cylinder with a volume between approximately 1 and 100 mL marked with volumetric graduations on the outside of the cylinder.
