Topical oxygen wound therapy systems designed to treat chronic or non-healing wounds by increasing the oxygen concentration in the air surrounding the wound without increasing air pressure. These systems generally include an oxygen-producing unit, which is typically a small, portable, battery-powered oxygen concentrator or oxygen generator a tubing set that delivers oxygen to the site of the wound; and an occlusive wound dressing that covers the wound and the distal end of the tubing set. Normobaric oxygen-wound therapy systems operate at flow rates between 3 and 13 mL/hour to deliver low-dose oxygen to a chronic or non-healing wound site. These systems are typically used to deliver oxygen to the wound site continuously over the course of several days.
