Devices designed to circulate a heated chemotherapy solution within a body cavity (typically the peritoneal or thoracic cavity). Hyperthermic intracavitary chemotherapy units typically include two pumps (supply and return); a reservoir; a heating element (i.e. heat exchanger); and temperature, flow, and pressure sensors. These units are typically connected to the patient\'s body cavity by means of disposable tubing and catheters. Hyperthermic intracavitary chemotherapy units are typically used in the treatment of malignancies that have metastasized within the peritoneal or thoracic cavity.
