The ground coffee is usually placed in a basket with perforations. The brewed coffee dispenses into a decanter that sits on a heating element or a thermal serving vessel. Coffee urns brew and dispense coffee in a single container. Coffee makers can have water tanks that must be filled by users or be connected to a water line. Most coffee makers make many cups of coffee at one time, but some coffee makers brew a single cup at a time. Some coffee makers include a coffee grinder. Coffee makers that are more complex can make coffee-based drinks such as cappuccino and espresso.
