A standardized 30-item self-administered quality of life questionnaire, developed by the European Organisation for the Research and Treatment of Cancer Quality of Life Group in 1995 as an update to the European Organisation for the Research and Treatment of Cancer Quality of Life Questionnaire - Core 36 (EORTC QLQ-C36), which was originally developed in 1987 and then modified to become EORTC QLQ-C30 in 1993. EORTC QLQ-C30 V3.0 utilizes a four-point response scale to assess functional, symptom, and global health status/quality of life scales, as well as five additional single symptoms and perceived financial impact, and a seven-point response scale to assess overall health and quality of life.
