Readers designed to determine the radiation dose that is absorbed by optically-stimulated luminescence (OSL) dosimeters. These readers expose the dosimeters to an optical system to release the stored energy and measure the dose of ionizing radiation. These readers may have dedicated software that is used in the reader or on an associated computer that controls data acquisition, storage, retrieval, and the sequence of the measurement and assessment procedure. OSL dosimeters readers are intended for a variety of applications, including total or partial body irradiation dose verification and radiotherapy dose verification.
