  • In December 2019, the COVID-19 was emerged in China The pathogen of COVID-19 is severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) which belong to a β-coronavirus The first people who infected with COVID-19 had links to a market for animals and seafood in Wuhan city This fact enhanced that the SARS-CoV-2 was transmitted from animals to humans Till date (14/5/2020), there have been around 4,308,809 reported cases of COVID-2019 and 274,290 reported deaths The COVID-2019 is spread from human to human by inhalation the droplets and the incubation period ranges from 2 to 14 days The usual symptoms are fever, sore throat, cough, breathlessness and fatigue Some patients are asymptomatic The rate fatality is ranged from 2 to 3% SARS-CoV-2 is the second-largest known RNA genome of virus, single-stranded, positive-sense RNA The virus genome consists of 5′-UTR, 3′ UTR and 11 open reading frames (ORFs) which encode to 27 proteins Routine test of COVID-19 cases is based on detection of SARS-CoV-2 genome by real time RT-PCR techniqe (Lippi et al ,2020) In addition, the X-ray (CXR) of chest usually display bilateral infiltrates espicially in in progress stage of disease The CT is more specific and sensitive It is also abnormal in asymptomatic patients To date, there is no effective treatment or vaccine to prevent infection of COVID-19 © 2020, Hampstead Psychological Associates All rights reserved
