The COVID-19 pandemic is an exceptional situation in most countries of the world Identifying the most vulnerable populations to reduce mortality is a public health priority The obtained data indicate that the probability of death in men in the diagnosis of COVID-19 is 50% higher than in women The review contains the analysis of publications on the gender characteristics of the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system functioning, which can influence different predisposition to coronavirus infection COVID-19 The article raises the issues of treatment with the reninangiotensin-aldosterone blockers in patients with cardiovascular diseases and coronavirus infection caused by SARS-COV-2 The use of angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors and angiotensin II blockers helps to restore the balance of the vasoconstrictor and vasodilating factors of the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system with subsequent anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antifibrotic effects, which can have a protective effect on the progress and outcome of coronavirus infection COVID-19 © 2020, Professionalnye Izdaniya All rights reserved
