  • Introduction: As covid-19 subjects have breathlessness at rest, fever,sore throat and dry cough, some of the studies have proved that use of allopathic drugs shows the better result by improving their immune system as the immunity of these subjects is hampered, to boost the immune system as well as to maintain the physical and psychological wellbeing of an individual physiotherapy is needed as it has shown its results in various fields,there are various studies conducted on prone lying alone which also shows significant effect on the respiratory parameters of an individual,hence using physical therapy as well as prone lying in combination this study is conducted Objective: To investigate the short term effectiveness of dedicated prone lying along with physiotherapy in subjects with covid-19 an interventional study Methodology: This is an experimental study conducted on 24 Covid positive subjects who were given regular chest physiotherapy including deep breathing exercises, segmental breathing exercises, and chest expansion exercises and dedicated prone lying Results: The results demonstrated that: SP02, Respiratory rate, chest expansion measurements and Heart rate showed significant changes with p value 0 05, 0 05, 0 05 and 0 05 of Group A, and0 01, 0 01, 0 05, 0 05 in group B Conclusion: The treatment showed significant improvement in Group A with all the outcome measures, and extremely significant improvement in Group B, Hence Dedicated prone lying along with regular chest physiotherapy showed great improvement in respiratory parameters © 2020, Hampstead Psychological Associates All rights reserved
