  • The COVID-19 pandemic has deeply changed the way of living, social interactions, and professional relationships around the world Its impact can be perceived in the most varied aspects, as the challenging economic problems, the increasing cases of psychological issues, and obviously, the serious crisis faced by health systems worldwide In this context, most students at different educational levels had their activities interrupted or affected, bringing up an intensive discussion about remote learning In this work, it has been observed the social reality of the students in the Federal Institute of Rio de Janeiro, Paracambi campus (Rio de Janeiro-Brazil) regarding their family financial situation and emotional conditions during the pandemic, which would severely influence students\' performance if they are subjected to remote learning courses The data are compared based on studies that analyze other socioeconomic and geographical contexts, in order to inquire how inclusive remote learning is available to be © 2020 IEEE
