  • Condoms intended to be inserted in a person\'s vagina before engaging in coitus to provide a physical barrier to conception and/or transmission of sexually transmitted infections. Vaginal internal condoms are designed to prevent sperm from gaining access to the female reproductive tract by providing a physical barrier between the penis and the vagina in order to prevent conception. Some condoms include a medical-grade sponge at the closed end that can help with insertion and to help hold the condom in place during use.
